Rebecca Oliver joins TRINDGROUP as Researcher and Technical Writer

Rebecca boasts an impressive educational background, starting with her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Communication from Auburn University. After completing her undergraduate degree, Rebecca received her Master of Arts in Communication from Auburn University, followed by her Ph.D. in Communication and Information Sciences from the University of Alabama.
Working at TRINDGROUP
At TRINDGROUP, Rebecca will assist the team by applying her research to content writing for clients. This content will take the form of white papers, blogs, press releases and more. Through Rebecca’s writing and research, our clients find solutions for their customers.
Rebecca says her love for writing has always been prevalent in her life. “I’ve always loved writing and exploring ideas. Audience analysis and assigning meaning to persuasive messages is my passion.”
Before starting at TRINDGROUP, Rebecca gained valuable experience writing for academic research publications and writing public relations content for non-academic organizations including the Alabama Farmers Federation and the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. Rebecca has taught communication courses at the university level for six years between Auburn University and the University of Alabama. In addition to her role at TRINDGROUP, she is currently faculty in the School of Communication and Journalism at Auburn University. Rebecca values the transformative experience communication courses offer students to grow as more confident and effective professionals. Rebecca strives to create an environment where students feel both supported and challenged. Rebecca’s teaching experiences include the following courses: Public Speaking, Argumentation, Persuasion, Research in Rhetoric and Social Influence and Critical Decision Making. Her academic research has been published in Argumentation and Advocacy, Discourse, Journalism and Mass Communication Quarterly, and other journals. Rebecca’s research has also been featured in multiple ‘Great Ideas for Teaching Students’ (G.I.F.T.S.) presentations at the National Communication Association Conference (NCA) and the Eastern Communication Association (ECA).
Learning at TRINDGROUP
Rebecca is excited to learn and grow during her time with TRINDGROUP and notes one of her favorite things about TRINDGROUP’s values. “I am most excited to work for a group that values sustainability as a primary message for their clients and tailors sustainability messages to client needs.” Rebecca also noted her interest in learning about crafting messages for the agricultural, marine, oil and gas, aquaculture, manufacturing and engineering industries.
From New Site, Alabama, Rebecca enjoys hiking, reading, traveling and frequenting comedy shows in her free time. She is also passionate about spending time with her friends and family. Rebecca’s impressive background, innovative thinking and ambitious attitude make her a perfect addition to the team.
