We are excited to welcome our new intern Ella to the TRINDGROUP team this fall! She will join Charlotte, who began her internship this summer. Together they will be working on public relations and marketing tasks for our clients. Ella and Charlotte are both seniors at Auburn University, so their experience at TRINDGROUP is preparing them for the job hunt as they begin their final year at school.

We sat down with Ella to get to know her better. Read what she had to say:

Ella Chancellor, Public Relations Intern

Hometown: Suwanee, GA

Major: Public Relations, with a minor in marketing

Graduation: May 2020

Why did you choose to major in public relations?

Public relations combines business with creativity, which are both things that I am very interested in. I want a career that will give me new experiences everyday and challenge me to think outside the box and I think pursuing a career in public relations will provide me with just that.

What has been your favorite PR or marketing class at Auburn?

My favorite PR class at Auburn has been PR Case Studies. I really enjoyed learning about the different strategies that organizations have used to recover from a crisis or prevent a crisis from occurring. It was interesting to learn which strategies worked and did not work and how it affected the organization as a whole.

What do you hope to learn during your internship?

I hope to learn how companies gain more interaction and visibility through their websites, social media and press releases. I also hope to fine-tune my writing skills through writing press releases and blog posts.

Do you have a favorite Auburn tradition?

My favorite Auburn tradition would definitely be rolling Toomer’s Corner after a big win. The first time I fell in love with Auburn was after my first football game, watching everyone throw toilet paper into the trees with so much joy and excitement, and running to Toomer’s is still one of my favorite things!

What is your dream job?

I would love to do PR and marketing in the entertainment or sports industry, possibly for a professional baseball or football team.

Where do you want to live after college?

I’m open to living anywhere, but I really think that I would enjoy living in a big city in the South, like Nashville or Dallas.
