We are excited to welcome Grace as the newest addition to the TRINDGROUP team! Grace will be working alongside Ella, who began her internship in the fall. Together they will work on public relations and marketing tasks for our clients.

We asked Grace a few questions to learn a little more about her.

Grace Counts, Public Relations Intern

Hometown: Decatur, AL

Major: Public Relations

Graduation: May 2021

Why did you decide to come to Auburn and study public relations?

While I initially came to Auburn to study animal science and hopefully go to vet school, I felt like Auburn checked all the boxes for my perfect future college. Auburn has felt like home ever since my first visit.

For the first year and a half I was at Auburn, I switched majors several times. I finally landed on public relations because it made sense. Public relations fits my interests and skills, and opens the door for a variety of future job opportunities.

What are you most excited to accomplish in your internship?

I am excited to learn more about marketing through social media, how the marketing landscape is changing, and media production. I hope to build good habits at this internship so I’m better prepared for a job post-graduation. Also, I’m excited to build relationships with and learn from the TRINDGROUP professionals.

What would you like to do once you graduate?

I want to work in an in-house marketing or PR department where I can promote what I am passionate about. While I’m unsure of the exact industry, I would love to work for a cosmetics company, fitness group or wildlife park.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I would love to live in Australia. I have always had a passion for animals and love the zoos and wildlife parks there. I also want to live by the water, so living in a coastal town there would be perfect.

What has your favorite experience been since starting college?

My absolute FAVORITE experience was this year’s Iron Bowl! I sat with my closest friends and we stormed the field together once the game was over. Being on the field at Jordan Hare with my best friends is a memory I will never forget.

We can’t wait to see what Grace will accomplish this spring at TRINDGROUP!
